“Olympia was amazing to experience. The audio guide was informative, but the stops were in a totally random order, so we had to navigate with a map to figure out where the stops were at. The guide would be better if it was in order.”

2.Tour with Virtual Reality and Audio

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 505 reviews · from $28

Meet Olympia Back in Time near the town church, learn to use the VR glasses, then explore Ancient Olympia at your own pace. The audio guide leads you to 15 monuments, while 3D scenes rebuild temples, training grounds, the Olympic Stadium, and the lighting of the Olympic Flame. Admission is separate.

“This was a great way to see the ruins. The VR brought things to life and gave you a clearer understanding of what it looked like in yesterday year. I would have struggled without this. The VR had GPS, so it directed you around each of the areas. I collected the VR in a shop just off the high street. It’s about a 5 min walk from the entrance. I just had a set time to return them by but plenty of time. I walked around at my own pace and the route happened to miss a lot of the groups walking around. I would 100% recommend this to others”

“I understood that the tour to the archaeology site did not include a tour. However I was not informed that there would not be any body giving any explanation of what we went to see. We hooked on to a celebrity guided tour , walking near her group so we can understand what we were looking at. She was not happy that we were following her group. The winery we visited was ok, as was the food prepared by the owners mother. We then visited the beach however, we were not told that the chairs and umbrellas had been removed from the beach so we could only look at it…”
